Also...

I'm working on my first website in quite a while for a neighbor of my sister. It's a Yahoo! Store. I don't know who they're kidding saying you can have your site up in a couple of minutes. Geeze. But whatever. I guess I'll have some experience in that now too. Oh, & the kicker is, since it's my sisters friend, I offered to get paid in cookies! (No lie! It's a gourmet cookies site) I am SUCH a spaz!:gurn

I've been trying & trying to come up with a name for a design business. I've previously had: New Millennium Designs, Cubed W Designs, & now I need another because I don't like either of those. *sigh* So, I will post a few ideas & see what you think. I'm into the whole Rhymes with Design thing right now. (Plus need an AVAILABLE .com address ha!)

What a day!

Ok, first, I had a run in with the burner on the stove. I Burned 3 fingers, & I have NO IDEA what I was doing. I'm cooking hamburgers, I made a grease mess, so I go to clean it up, & lift a burning hot burner cover (?) right off the stove! I mean, hello it just had a blue flame all over it & 2 seconds later, I pick it up?! Geeze! So yeah, my fingers made this sizzle noise & OMG did it hurt!! So I took a pain pill & a 2 hour nap a while later.

The car is broken in the Menard's parking lot. Not a clue what's wrong with it.

Didn't go to work, didn't call. Didn't really care. They called me. I was sleeping & had the ringer off. They called again. I called them back at like 8:30. Talked to the "boss" I told him I didn't feel like getting yelled at, so I didn't call. Simple enough. He's always gotta be the control freak. He says you come in tomorrow. I said, I'm OFF tomorrow! He said "Ok, be here at 4 then." Fine. Whatever. I'll go in, talk to him, & I think I'll quit. The whole thing just stresses me out. I haven't been there all week anyhow. Aagghh.

Last night I signed up for Project Cancer Research on UD.com & I joined Team Trillian! So if anyone wants to know more about this...check it out. I am processing ligands! Woohoo!! It's just like Seti @ Home only doing cancer research instead of searching for aliens. :biggrin

Long story short..

Ok really long story...really short. I just found out the name of the other sister I have, my dads other daughter. I've been busy, busy looking for 3 days & I found her this afternoon! I just talked to her for over an hour! :woohoo I'd post her picture... but she'd kill me. heh.

I tell you there are exciting things going on over here. My brother is in town... he's coming to see us tomorrow. We went to my sisters to see him tonight. He'll be here until Sunday. So I have to go clean.

How sad

Well, Maggie has done a 20 things swap, which you can view here... She says "unsupervised is in the upper left corner" Well, yeah, Maggie. That is so beautiful & sad. It's one of those really creepy things that makes me want to cry. So, good job, very creative...now stop it! :perplex

My baby has got attitude!

You know, Brayden (the 11 year old) really has got attitude problems. He gives me more trouble than the other 2 put together 5 times over. :confused

He says he's sick AGAIN & that I never believe him. Yeah, ok. Then I said he better get his butt to school or he's not going to get his bike tonight, & he says "Really? I can do whatever I want!" Yeah, on some other planet maybe. What am I some kid he can boss around?! Problem is, he's getting bigger than I am. He's like a little line backer. I think maybe I'll just have Daddy deal with him. :whyme

Now when he gets home he'll say "I'm sorry Mommy". Yeah, I keep telling him, "Bray, if you have to keep apologizing doesn't that tell you that you're doing something you shouldn't be?" uuggh.

Happy Birthday to my biggest baby!

Today is my oldest babies 11th birthday! Can you believe it? He's right here... hi
see? He can't sleep...poor punkin. We went to Kohl's & got him some new shirts & he picked out a really cool sweat shirt. Tomorrow Daddy is taking him to get a new bike. He also chose Wendy's for supper, & went & played at the arcade at the gas station for about half an hour. I think he had a pretty good day. Oh, & we got him a Green Bay Packer cake! Too bad it was frozen & we'll eat it tomorrow.

I have an idea.

I know, you're scared. But work with me here. I found this site, that has a list of questions that you should/could ask people in your family for history (genealogical) purposes. Now, it's a huge list, but it would be really neat if someone wrote some software or a plug-in that was either compatible with family tree software, or... I don't know maybe a stand alone program that would calculate & extract results & let you sort it, save it send it. You know. For your kids, grandkids, whatever. So if anyone is feeling froggy, have at it, & let me know! :biggrin

I was wondering what happened to Steve...

on Blues Clues. Well, lo & behold..... I ran across Steve's Web Page... he is in fact alive & well, & BALD! Heh. But he's working on an album called Songs for Dust Mites, which I have to admit is pretty cool sounding. So as far as I'm concerned... anyone that can work with a cartoon dog & entertain my kids & me for 6 years deserves a lot of credit & can do pretty much what he wants & be still be cool in my book! :smile3

Nothing new

I am still employed. I have tomorrow off THANK GOD! I will talk to Bob & see what he thinks I should do. I talked to him quick since he got home late which meant I was late for work...& he said go ahead & quit. So that's that. I don't have to worry about fighting with him about it. I really don't know what to do. We worked with 3 new waitresses tonight which was just sucky weird. Aagggh.

I still feel like crap all day everyday (for what 9 or 10 days now?) the only thing that seems to make me feel better is eating bread. I can't go around eating bread all day. And...I can't find anything to drink that helps... & I drink a LOT of stuff in a day. A lot. :( I'm trying Sierra Mist & cranberry juice now. Tastes good...but isn't helping. Trying Zantac 75 again. I don't think that seems to help either. I don't know. I'm gonna go to bed. Maybe if I sleep sleep sleep I'll be all better. Yeah.

Help!

Ok, since I think I'm going to quit my job... & I'm thinking I should stay home & do webdesign for a while... (just wait til Bob gets home & thinks I've lost my ever lovin' mind!) Anyhow... I need a really cool name. But everything I think of is too girly. My favorite so far is... oh man... Pixels in Pajamas. Ha! That would go over well with business types. I could use PIP though... I don't know. What do you think? Anyone have any ideas here? I like the pixel thing, but am really open to suggestions. :perplex

Regular Vs. Decaf

One more thing before I go to bed. I have this caffeine problem...like too much makes me all shaky & weird, so I drink the half stuff. (Half regular half decaf). Anyhow...tonight I was drinking huge glasses of decaf at work, & the hostess Anna (did I tell you she's back?!...I'll explain later.) says that too much coffee is bad for you. She knew I was drinking decaf btw. Well since I have this whole feeling sick most of the day can't eat without feeling nauseous thing (ulcer? & yes, my tubes are tied...so get it out of your head) I have been trying not to drink caffeinated stuff. So, yeah. Really now. Is decaf bad for you like regular coffee? Because as far as I knew the caffeine in coffee was what was bad?! I'm confused. :snide

I can't sleep!

So I'm laying in bed... for a half an hour now... thinking & thinking about how much I HATE being a waitress... & I've decided that I'm going to talk to Bob tomorow... & if he doesn't freak out...which I'm sure he won't- I'm going to tell my boss that they can take me off the schedule after this week. When he asks why I'll explain that I hate it, that I'm not a very good waitress, & it's demeaning blah blah blah... & if he can think of something else for me to do for more than $2.33 an hour like coffee girl, bartenderess, hostess, window for the orders coming up that's fine... but if not, I'm out. Just can't stand it anymore. I really really sucks. I can think of a million better things to do with my time than be treated like crap. (Got yelled at again by a lame ass customer again tonight) ...I'll explain In the morning when I'm not so moody.

Not for the faint of heart...

Ok, this is REALLY strange/pretty gross...but I just have to tell someone! So I went to the grocery store after work right? Picked up a few things. One bag full of stuff & a Sunday paper. It's like self serve. So I bag my own stuff, get home & go to put it away, & Woah! There's a box of Massengill in there. Ok. I didn't buy that. WTF? So I look at my receipt thinking maybe some dumbass slipped in in my cart while I wasn't looking. Nope, not on there either. So, hey, free douche. Bet you don't hear that everyday! :wow All I can figure is that it must have been in the bag already? I don't know. How weird!

Ok, so yeah, I was screwing around with the archives yesterday, but I had to go to work & figured it was fine since I didn't have an archive link up... until I saw this from Jennifer...

Yep, I wanted to know...& thanks! :happy I fixed it. I still have some stinking error when you load the page, but :tongue I have to get off my butt before Bob gets home.

Half a day off...

Woohoo! I got called over by "the boss" yesterday & he was all "Jewels, (Or Jouls as he spells it) you don't have to come in until 4 tomorrow ok?" so him & the manager Patty sat there waiting for me to have a cow....& instead I did the happy dance! I'm so glad...I hate closing on Saturdays & then having to turn around & be back @ 8 am.

I also finally gave up & bought a new shirt & apron last night. $26 down the tubes, but it only makes sense when I'm dryerless. It's getting colder here... I'm going to have to get one soon. And this whole 1 day off a week has got to come to a screeching halt. Gah.
